Senior Project Engineer Equipment
"As a Project Lead Engineer, I am part of an engineering team. We design and develop new pharmaceutical installations or complete innovation projects on existing production lines."
"The projects we develop are either “cost-driven” whereby we try to realize savings, “safety-driven” whereby we try to incorporate additional safety in the manufacturing process, or “quality-driven” whereby we increase the quality by means of ever-changing technologies and by applying “current good practices”. The most exciting projects are a combination of the three. The pharmaceutical sector is a great industry for realizing projects. It gives me satisfaction when products are produced after our intervention at or in the project “you” realized.
I have already been working at Advipro for 10 years. We are known by all large and smaller pharmaceutical companies in Flanders and beyond. We stand for the highest quality and also communicate this to our employees. I was already there when we integrated the term “A-team” in order to distinguish ourselves as Advipro-employees. The A-team stands for young, dynamic and driven employees who support and realize high-quality projects together."
Senior Validation Engineer
Sven is part of a compliance team that supports various branch locations of a pharmaceutical company in the Kempen. “At one of these locations, I am responsible for the compliance monitoring related to utilities and facilities within the general technical services department. This includes handling deviations, routine sampling and performance qualification in response to change control."
"We co-guarantee the continuity and quality of the utilities and we document everything. It is a versatile job in which we do not only constantly follow up on certain matters across different projects in a planned manner, we also handle unforeseen deviations in operations. Our client also expects us to think along about potential problems and come up with solutions to these problems. I have been working at Advipro for 9 years. Before that, I have worked six years at the R&D-department of a company and 2 years for a pharmaceutical company. When I started working here, 20 people were employed by Advipro but in the meantime, we keep on growing. I appreciate the direct communication with the management, the transparency and flexibility and the no-nonsense approach.”
Test & Qualification Engineer
I have worked for Advipro since 01 August 2017. I became acquainted with them at a job fair organised by the LBK, The Student Society of the Bioscience Engineering Students of KU Leuven, from where I graduated as a bioengineer specialising in biosystems (Human Health Engineering). I immediately had a good feeling about Advipro.
Their specialization in the pharmaceutical industry was very appealing to me and especially the fact that they have a department for both Project Support and for Testing. A lot is also done to maintain a pleasant group spirit, which already showed from their Facebook-page. I think that is important because everybody is working at different projects with clients. I was only just hired and I was already invited to a sailing event.
After my first weeks of training at Advipro, I was deployed at a project as Supplier Qualification Engineer for an academic spin-off, specialized in immunotherapy. I will monitor there whether suppliers are able to deliver correctly and what will happen with the product and with the patient should this not be the case. I am substituting someone here who gave me onboard training in the company. I work here together with five other Advipro-engineers, so I am certainly not facing my task alone. We work together in an open structure: you can ask everything to everybody, your colleagues and the management support you wherever necessary.
Ruben is a Project & Validation Engineer in the Engineering Department of a pharmaceutical company specialising in eye care products. “I am responsible for various facility management projects, such as equipment installation or the provision of work stations with utilities. If a room must be repurposed, I, as the Project Engineer, take care of all adaptations in the areas of sprinklers, HVAC, electricity, piping…. "
"As a validation engineer, I prepare installation qualification files for the engineering department. I determine and realize all kinds of projects that are necessary to, among other things, improve the production and facilities so we can have the production of our client run more efficiently or are able to implement new standards. I love the responsibility I am getting for the projects; the co-realization and the transfer provides great satisfaction to me. I also love the interaction with the several persons involved you come in contact with inside and outside the plant.”
Test & Qualification Engineer
“I am part of a 7-person compliance team under the direction of an SPOC. We support the general and technical services that deliver facilities and utilities to the various buildings on the site of a large pharmaceutical company in the Kempen. It is our job to check, investigate and implement all of the changes or unforeseen deviations to these facilities in accordance with the applicable GXP guidelines.
Meanwhile, I have been working at Advipro for one year. Before that, I have worked for four years as a PhD-student at VITO. I wanted to leave the academic world and applied for a job here because it is a smaller, but strongly growing company in the Kempen. During the second interview round I was introduced to Peter and Kristel, the founders of Advipro; I thought it was special to also get to meet the people behind the company.
Favorable commuting is important to me because I want to be able to combine my work with my family. We have the opportunity at Advipro to also work delocalized if this is allowed by the client. Everyone who is part of the compliance team at my current project works on average once per week from our hub.
Test & Qualification Engineer
"I first got to know Advipro in March 2017 at a job fair at the De Nayer Institute in Sint-Katelijne-Waver. I left them a copy of my CV, and a week later, they called to set up an interview. A second interview with management followed soon thereafter, and I was offered a contract. I wanted to work in consultancy for the simple reason that it would allow me to better explore the various aspects of the pharmaceutical world."
"I wanted to start working at Advipro because it is specialized in pharma and cleanrooms, while many other consultancy firms often operate in a larger field of activity. Moreover, the company shows significant growth meaning I am able to grow along.
I get quality training sessions, and a strong group spirit can be felt. After two weeks of training, I started a project in the Netherlands where I am co-supporting a project team in the validation of a cleanroom at a pharmaceutical company."
